A Sunset Pride Celebration is an official Miami Beach Pride event in association with the It Gets Better Project. The It Gets Better Project has affiliates on four continents, including a sizable presence in Latin America. Miami is a cultural and entertainment hub for Latin America, and a number of our affiliates are thriving in this region.
We will offer complimentary transportation to attendees of this event who are also planning to attend the Miami Beach Gay Pride Gala that night at 7:30pm
A Sunset Pride Celebration is an opportunity for the staff of the Project to connect with influential members of the LGBTQ+ community in the Miami area. It’s also an opportunity for us to advocate for the important, often life-saving work the It Gets Better Project and its affiliates are doing on a daily basis on behalf of LGBTQ+ youth. The launch of It Gets Better Project’s new education program, It Gets Better EDU, which converts popular It Gets Better media content into guides and special presentations for the classroom.
It Gets Better Project’s first LatAm Summit in Bogota, Colombia. These summits are opportunities for members of the Project’s Global Affiliate Network to connect and discuss global issues impacting LGBTQ+ young people.
The launch of a new affiliate in Argentina. In addition, our Latin American affiliates include Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, and Peru.
